Morizon-Gratka Group Sp. z o.o. specializes in digital solutions for the real estate market, offering portals such as Morizon.pl and Gratka.pl, which support users in selling, renting and searching for properties. The business also includes tools to assist brokers, developers and investors in managing listings and customers. Real estate ads are supplemented by such categories as automotive, jobs, items for the home and garden, animals and many others. Listings come from both individuals and companies. The company is part of the broader capital structure of Ringier Axel Springer Media AG, a major media conglomerate operating in Central and Eastern Europe.

Challenge

The client asked us to upgrade the Blog service on the website www.gratka.pl. The project included not only refreshing the look and functionality of the site based on the client’s graphic design, but also a comprehensive migration and reconfiguration of blog content from the portals www.gratka.pl i www.morizon.pl to a modern, external server infrastructure, thereby ensuring higher performance and data security.

Solution

  • Migration and administration takeover – moved the site to a new, more efficient server, while taking over full administration of the site. This change ensured the stability of operations and space for further optimizations.
  • Cleanup and updates – a thorough content cleanup was carried out, which included updating the framework, plugins and upgrading PHP and MySQL to the latest supported versions.
  • Database optimization – a detailed analysis and optimization of the database structure was performed, which improved the performance of the site and reduced response times.
  • Original WordPress theme – based on the views provided by the client, a new unique WordPress theme was developed and implemented, tailored to the needs and nature of the site. The project included the creation of several key views and the implementation of additional functionality.
  • Quick implementation – the entire process of designing and implementing the new theme was completed in a short period of time, which allowed the client to quickly adapt the site to the new requirements.
  • Incorporation of caching – caching for the entire site was implemented, which significantly reduced page load time and improved the user experience.
  • Multimedia optim ization – detailed optimization of critical multimedia resources was carried out, resulting in improved performance and faster loading of content.
  • Resource and script optimization – scripts and site resources were optimized for performance, eliminating unnecessary elements and reducing file sizes.
  • Basic SEO guidelines – as part of the upgrade, key search engine optimization principles were implemented, ensuring better visibility of the site in search results.
