Challenge
Scheidt & Bachmann‘s core business is focused on developing and implementing technology solutions for transportation services (including ticket vending machines, digital payment solutions and more). Against the backdrop of global markets and influenced by rapid developments in the areas of digitization and mobility, a full portfolio of hardware and software for fare collection systems is key to the success of Scheidt & Bachmann Fare Collections Systems. The company works with agile and innovative partners such as INNOKREA to develop dedicated solutions. The project needed a dedicated mobile ticketing application to be delivered in a very short time.
Solution
INNOKREA has been developing dedicated software solutions (including web and mobile applications) for many years. Based on this experience, a dedicated mobile application was implemented and published in the Google and Apple stores in partnership with Scheidt & Bachmann Fare Collection Systems.
The app was written in React Native technology, which allowed us to deliver very quickly compared to other native programming languages. INNOKREA also provided part of the backend solution for the project in JAVA.
Business impact
Scheidt & Bachmann Fare Collections Systems delivered a more complex solution (of which the mobile app was a key part) to the target customer in time.
The entire solution allows thousands of people in Europe to buy train and bus tickets every day.
